Manipulating the form and function of typography
A css-coded typeface that pays homage to my hometown Jakarta. Inspired by the dominating tall buildings in the city, I created alphabets that mimic a tall building when combined. Each of the letters contains sounds that I associate with Jakarta, or what I feel represents Jakarta from my point of view. When the user hovers on letters, sounds will overlap with each other creating a city ambiance of “Jakarta”. This way, I can always go to the site whenever I miss home.
